163 More on Side Effects

The side effects you read about last time were actually copied from a website for a drug that is advertised on the radio and probably elsewhere. The name has been deleted to protect the guilty but you have probably heard this ad. The drug is a central nervous system stimulant and is used to treat ADHD, shift disorder (shift disorder?) and narcolepsy among other things. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder and one side effect is “trouble sleeping”. What? That’s like trading one sleeping disorder for another. How goofy is that?

I know you have probably heard listings of side effects but to see it in print really is stunning. You might want to review those awful side effects you read about last time. Before you take a drug consider whether your condition is as bad as the side effects… you may prefer your condition.Actually, you can google “side effects of_____” and get a listing for nearly any drug.

I decided that I needed to come clean about the side effects of the Choose Well Program. Okay… here’s the truth.

If you follow the Choose Well guidelines faithfully there will be side effects that you may experience such as: lost weight (if you were overweight), lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, decreased risk of stroke, fewer colds, better skin, better sleep, more energy, mental clarity, decreased risk of cancer occurrence, lower homocysteine levels, stronger bones, decreased risk of kidney stones and gallstones, regularity, improvement in nearly any condition, a general feeling of well being and no hunger. This is, admittedly, not a complete list of all the side effects that may occur. Food is the most powerful medicine we have. So, if you are NOT interested in the side effects of the foods included in the Choose Well Program, you might as well go order a burger, fries and shake. J  No, wait… I’m kidding… that’s NOT a real suggestion.

Okay, now you know what can really happen when you follow the “Choose Well” plan. So… as I always say…
