Pinto Bean Spread

1 ½ cups pinto beans (1 can) OR

reconstitute 1 ½ cups culinary pinto beans

½ cup salsa

1 teaspoon dried cilantro

2 tablespoons lime juice

½ teaspoon cumin


  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth


  • Mash pinto beans and add other ingredients. Mix well.

This will thicken as is sits in the refrigerator. Serve it over potatoes, rice, crackers, toast or as a dip for raw vegetables.
